For well over a decade, Hartman has been part of the KAVU family. His huge and unassuming smile has been a welcome companion while chasing a full-value life.... every minute of every day, for the entire KAVU crew.
Most of the trips we've been lucky enough to go on with Hartman have been to find beautiful cliffs and mountains to jump and fly. But, those jumps and flights, albeit memorable, are only a small part of the memories of those KAVU days.
The privilege it's been to visit new places as a team has always been about so much more....
.... Culture, Friends (new and old), architecture, food, new perspectives... All of these elements fill our days with experiences that make it easy to feel grateful... and difficult for any of us to take this life for granted.
Of course, the mountains and flying aren't bad either;-)
It's the in between moments; the hot coffee before a big hike, the way the blue of the sky changes as the sun continues to rise, the sounds of bells around the necks of local cattle, and the smile on a friends face as we hike towards a new experience.
In all of the moments we've had with Hartman, rarely has there been a time.... in town or in the mountains... where his huge smile wasn't part of our memory.
That... is KAVU to it's core.
On their latest trip, Hartman and Lizzy sent these images to share a few of many life highlights.
For us, they serve as a reminder that living every day to the fullest, appreciating what life has to offer, and surrounding yourself with good humans is the best way to both dream big... and do big.
