When Neil first became a KAVU team athlete, he was a hard charging demonstration sky diver and BASE jumper..... a leader in so many ways. But to us, it wasn't just that he was helping to lead the way in these incredible art forms and activities, it was that he was a leader in the choice to live a positive life..... spreading good energy and positivity wherever he went, world-wide.
Neil’s life in the sky began when he joined the Air Force out of high school. After serving four years in special operations as a combat controller, he moved to Utah to master new forms of flight including paragliding, skydiving, and wingsuit flying skills. He’s also a commercial pilot and certified air traffic controller who holds a bachelor’s degree in Professional Aeronautics. As an enthusiastic KAVU brand ambassador, he travels the world spreading encouragement and seeking new aerial challenges.
Over the years and through the inevitable changes in life and lifestyle, the choices Neil makes always prioritizes both happiness and the desire to share happiness.
Forever curious and, instead of just dreaming, having the motivation to work hard and make his dreams reality makes Neil and inspiration for us here at KAVU.
Never being one to be pigeon-holed into a defined role, Neil has taken his love for, and fascination with, aviation to create a life which allows him now to teach others how to fly..... and at the same time, bring his family along on the journey!
Each and every day for Neil (and us all) is an opportunity for adventure..... an opportunity to learn more and to experience all life has to offer.
Neil's journey to become a flight instructor has allowed him to put his "work hard, play hard" mentality into a flight course that can earn you a lifetime of airborne adventure. For him, it's seeing people achieve their goals and enrich their lives that's the biggest reward.
What we know about Neil is that he truly wants people to find in life what they're most passionate about. It doesn't have to be flying, or jumping..... but a KAVU life spent getting after whatever brings YOU joy in life...... and of course sharing that joy.
