Moab spring is like a box of chocolates—you never know what you’re going to get.
This season has brought one of the nicest springs anyone can remember, with weeks of temperate weather gently leading us into summer.
We were lucky enough to have lots of visits from family and close friends this spring too, and everyone has gotten to take advantage of the perfect conditions.
My good friend Marc visited from France with his 80 year old mother Helene, Ian’s sister and brother-in-law brought our little nieces from Virginia, and my college friends Chad and Mary came over from Colorado. Climbing is one of those things that’s perfect for the whole family, for everyone aged 8 to 80.
Between our yard walls, the Big Bend boulders, the cliffs around Moab and Indian Creek...... everyone got tons of opportunities to climb.
And, we also taught the girls how to rappel on their own.
It's an important life skill to have....
We always have adventures in the desert no matter what the weather is doing, but the very best thing is being able to share the magic of a perfect spring with friends and family!
