....to the Bahamas!!
We love the deep snow but, our souls were craving a bit of time in the sun, surrounded by ocean, sand and some good-ole-fashioned kick back.
#kavuadventure is always exactly where you look for it;-) In this case, the turquoise-blue water and the islands bordered with rings of sand out the window told us we were about to arrive.
Lines and I went to Harbour Island to meet up with some family and take a step back from intensely filled days back home.
... has very few cars and our mornings were filled with getting a variety of provision from cracked conch to fresh caught fish from the local docks.
My cousin David, drove his boat from Tampa to the island with his trusty co-pilot, Hans.
Hans made sure we were going the right way
David's boat allowed for days touring around smaller Bahamian enclaves where we found all kinds of unique adventures. One memorable day was spent exploring islands inhabited by only very hungry pigs!
Hans was amused.
The dose of sun and warm island lifestyle was exactly what we needed
The definition of a KAVU day is to live to the fullest and use every minute to chase fun, to stay inspired and to appreciate this amazing life.
It was a true blessing to be able to get onto... and into the ocean, take a step back, and a much appreciated break from the snow shoveling life;-)
