Traveling across North America in search of people who are using the outdoors as a key toward happiness has led us to some beautifully majestic places. Through those travels, we've found that the best places to reflect on our adventures is on, or near water! Camped out waterfront watching the sunrise fills the soul and reminds us that it's the people that make the place; our memories of the busy livin' outdoor enthusiasts we meet along the way that continues to inspire us!
For a while, we didn't even realize why we'd go so far out of our way to camp near water but......while traveling and living the "Van Life", 4pm each travel day became our "go time" to find our spot for the night. Walmart simply won't do.
We will commonly drive an hour or more out of the way just to be near water. The rivers and lakes call to us; they have the power to create a connection between their ambience and our mood.
Whether it's a river to run, glassy water for a slow and quiet paddle or a slow moving trickle for co-pilot, Rain Dog, to drink from, our perspective is shaped and re-shaped by the fluid medium.
...... our travels are positively effected by the moods of the water we find to rest with.....
We move and change, just like the water and it's everlasting motion is a motivation to keep flowing through our lives with the same clarity.
.....and as soon as you think you've got something figured out, water will always find new ways to take you out of your comfort zone and into growth, to find the cracks.
......Each night, and every morning.
Try it! Water truly helps us keep our perspective KAVU!
