There’s a guy named Savage Sac from South Africa and he might be the coolest guy I’ve ever met.

Currently residing in Las Vegas, he owns and operates 'Dream Racing' - A 5 star driving experience, where you can run just about any car you’ve ever dreamed of around a race track as fast as you can. He’s a proud dad, ex Professional Athlete, World Champion, Race-car instructor and Pilot (Helicopter, Plane, and Wingsuit)

During a conversation this spring we talked about some interesting options for fun here in Utah.

"The weather looks great, let’s rally the buds and make some memories! Come to Utah and let’s get it on"!!!

KAVU days awaited, for sure!

We organized a great crew of friends and made a plan.

The plan was easy......

FUN!

day 1 - scouting - get to the choppa!

....we loaded up in the brand new, matte black Airbus H125, exploding with smiles and stoke. We flew around the beautiful Wasatch Mountains, getting to know the finer details of this range, and looking for that perfect angle to fly our wingsuits and interact with the mountain.

During the heli flight, we tagged some of the iconic peaks and had front row seats to the beauty around us. It was humbling and inspiring to feel so small amongst these giants.

We found hidden spots to land the helicopter to enjoy the day and the company..... even finding a great place to launch a paraglider!

Day 2 - here we go!

On the second day we met feeling optimistic about the amount of fun that was in store for us. We gathered the birds and took flight.

During the scout, we found many options to fly and it was now time to get it on!

These flights were as amazing as we’d dreamt they'd be! We were flying our wingsuits in an incredible environment with other flying friends around us, each grinning from ear to ear.

We made quite a few jumps..... each flight with a plan and a mission. To help us capture the memories, our good friend and Utah local badass, York Galland brought his helicopter-attached gimbal and fancy camera to film the action.

day 3 - dessert

On the last day of our Utah adventure, we wanted to max it out and bring all the toys. So, we gathered paragliders, speedwings, wingsuits, and of course.... our trusty parachutes.

As we became more and more comfortable with the environment, we could see other opportunities for our flight paths and overall experience. We saw lines through the trees, lines over the trees, and lines that played well with the mountains’ esthetic characteristics.

A particularly impressive flight was down Cascade Mountain. This mountainside provided one of the best wingsuit flights we’ve ever seen. The mountain yielded 3k’ of perfect angle terrain to fly (2:1) with a massive cliff at the end to flair the wingsuit up and safely deploy a (FAA approved parachute).

Moral of this story:

Anytime a friend calls and asks if you want to do something cool and memorable - say YES!
