Brazil was calling and we still had a long way to go……
Back on our way
Late in a night shift, we lost our spinnaker into the ocean when a main halyard broke. It was an intense way to wake up but, we got it back on board and like everything else, dealt with it KAVU style……one step at a time with smiles on our faces!
Funny thing about being on a small boat in a big ocean…..we can only rely on our selves to deal with issues. To re-route the spinnaker halyard, Jeff climbed the mast in pitching seas

Chess, exercise, reading, fishing…..every day, good company and an epic position. This was a good routine to have
It was wild for Captain, Tyler Bradt, to finally be bringing the Wizard’s Eye back to the America’s after so long.
Indeed, we became better friends, lived a full value experience across the South Atlantic and not once took a moment of it for granted. Huge smiles in Brazil after 33 days……KAVU smiles!
